Saint Florian (c. 250–304 AD) was a Roman army officer in modern-day Austria, revered as the patron saint of firefighters, chimney sweeps, and brewers, known for protecting against fire, floods, and drowning due to legends of him miraculously extinguishing a blaze with a single bucket of water.
