The Barnegat Lighthouse, nicknamed "Old Barney," is a historic 172-foot-tall lighthouse in New Jersey's Barnegat Lighthouse State Park. Commissioned in 1859 and designed by General George Meade, it was once a first-class navigational light, serving the Barnegat Inlet.   Population < 2,000.
